Not every vat consultancy case I deal with results in a VAT saving, but many do. Here is just a sample of my recent successes:
- Nov 2012 - penalty of £37,000 not applied (property transaction)
- Nov 2012 - input tax of £2,400 allowed after negotiation (accounting firm)
- July 2012 - assessment of £27,375 withdrawn (property transaction)
- May 2012 - overpayment of £29,249 identified and recovered on zero rated construction work
- Feb 2012 - Homeless Shelter - VAT ruling overturned, reducing VAT from £222,000 to £42,000, a reduction of £180,000
